Toro Welding & Fabrication wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, or other assistive tools. If something on the site gets in your way, please tell us and we will help you directly.
Our goal
We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard most commonly used for websites in the United States.
What we have done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to main content" link at the top.
- Photos that carry meaning have text descriptions for screen readers, and decorative images are hidden from them.
- Moving content can be stopped: the background video at the top of the home page and the scrolling list of project types each have a pause button.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the site shows still images and stops animations and automatic video.
- Text and buttons are designed to have strong contrast against the dark background, and text can be enlarged with your browser's zoom.
- The two finished-boat videos have no spoken words, start muted, have their own pause, sound, and full-screen buttons, and include a written description.
- The phone number and email address are real links, so you can call or write with one tap.
Known limitations
- The Instagram feed is provided by Instagram (Meta), and we do not control how accessible it is. Our Instagram page is available directly if the feed does not work for you.
- The project photos in the archive gallery carry general descriptions rather than detailed ones.
